Ford has expanded the crash avoidance features for the Escape, making its capabilities more on par with the Edge. For instance, the Escape is now eligible for the automatic park assist and the fatigued-driver alert system. It also offers automated braking with the forward collision warning and automatic steering assist with the lane watch. The Edge goes further, offering a 180-degree front bumper camera system that watches for obstacles during forward slow-speed maneuvers.
