The 2017 Ford Fusion vs 2017 Honda Accord. What's Your Choice?
Serving Chattanooga, Nashville, and Dalton, TN
With a lineup of multiple EcoBoost engines and the Intelligent All-Wheel Drive, the 2017 Ford Fusion is a mid-size that offers impressive performance. Even though the Honda Accord is a reliable mid-size sedan with premium features, it just doesn't match the Ford Fusion's versatile powertrain. Featuring the SYNC 3 infotainment system and Pre-Collision Assist, the Ford Fusion also beats the Honda Accord in digital technology and active safety.

Performance
When equipped with the 1.5 L EcoBoost engine, the 2017 Ford Fusion offers an efficient drive for daily trips. Featuring Auto Start/Stop technology, this compact engine delivers up to 181 horsepower. Capable of delivering 175 hp, the 2.5 L Duratec engine is also suitable for economical driving. Additionally, the Ford Fusion's 2.0 L EcoBoost engine generates a maximum of 245 horsepower. With a displacement of only 2.7 L, the EcoBoost V6 engine whips out an impressive 325 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque. The Honda Accord's 3.5 L V6 engine can't match the capabilities of the 2.7 L EcoBoost engine. The EcoBoost engines and Duratec engine are paired with the SelectShift automatic transmission system, which has a gearbox with six speeds. Another distinct feature in the Ford Fusion is the Intelligent All-Wheel Drive, which easily grips slippery roads and unpaved surfaces. The Honda Accord's front-wheel drive simply doesn't provide such good traction.
Safety
The 2017 Ford Fusion and Honda Accord are available with the Adaptive Cruise Control, which comes with an automatic stop-and-go function. Both sedans also have the Lane Keeping System that prevents dangerous drifts into adjacent lanes on the highway. With the Blind Spot Information System and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, you're unlikely to get into side or rear crashes while driving in the Fusion. This Ford sedan may also be equipped with the Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection. Such responsive technology includes the Brake Support and Active Braking to ensure that you don't hit other vehicles or pedestrians in your path. If a front crash is imminent, the Pre-Collision Assist will issue a visible flashing signal in the windshield. Thanks to the all-new Enhanced Active Park Assist, the Ford Fusion makes parking very simple. Powered by up to a dozen ultrasonic sensors, this technology helps you park the vehicle in parallel and perpendicular configurations. A new addition to the Fusion's passive safety design includes the inflatable rear seatbelts that respond to the severity of a crash.

Technology
When you turn on the 8-inch SYNC 3 infotainment system in the 2017 Ford Fusion, you can easily swipe through an array of options with the touch of a finger. The Honda Accord offers a 7-inch infotainment system. Just like the Ford Fusion, it also offers a complimentary subscription trial for SiriusXM. However, the complimentary trial for the Accord only lasts up to 3 months while the Fusion offers a 6-month trial. The Fusion's voice-activated GPS navigation system gets direct feeds from SiriusXM Travel Link and Traffic. You also have direct access to more than 150 channels of music, news and other entertainment on SiriusXM Satellite Radio. Rated at 390 watts, the Sony sound system with a dozen total speakers will blast your favorite hits on this premium radio service. This signature audio system comes with the Dolby DAEP 5.1 Surround Sound technology for clear acoustics. The Ford Fusion is also compatible with the SYNC Connect platform, which allows remote access to the sedan's engine, windows and doors. You can download the FordPass application on your smartphone to enjoy all of the great features that are available via the SYNC Connect suite.
